NOTES: In the Pocono Mountains southeast of Palmerton, the Blue Mountain Ski Area has 34 runs served by 9 lifts accessing a maximum vertical drop of 1,082 feet. Three trails are all over a mile long. The lifts include a high-speed detachable six person lift, a triple lift and a quad lift.
Starting in 2009, there is a new double black diamond run, Nightmare, which has a 900 foot vertical drop.
To reach Blue Mountain Ski Area from Allentown, head north on SR145 for about 9 miles to traffic light at far end of long bridge. At this intersection turn right onto Blue Mountain Drive and go approx. three miles to traffic light in Cherryville. Go straight thru Cherryville approximately three miles to Danielsville, go straight thru Danielsville to entrance sign just past the top of the mountain.
Blue Mountain Ski Area is located at 1660 Blue Mountain Drive in Palmerton.
