NOTES: Northwest of Concord and southeast of Danbury, the Ragged Mountain ski area has 50 trails over 220 boardable acres with a max vertical of 1250 feet. There are six main ski lifts serving the area. Check out the new 6 passenger lift and plenty of new trails with snowmaking. Make sure to ride on Wednesdays for the car load lift ticket discount.
There are three terrain parks to explore. Terrain Park is over 0.5 mile long with no intersections to break the flow. Those looking for something different can wander off the beaten path to explore Wild Woods, the new terrain park, featuring cliff drops, log slides and a quarter pipe. Beginners and children will find Pocket Park is the perfect place to hone those newly developing skills.
The ski area has a very nice, relaxed base area that is usually empty on weekdays.
To reach the Ragged Mountain Ski Area from Concord, head north on US89 to Exit #11. Head east on SR11 for 7.5 miles to US4. Head west on US4 towards Danbury for 7 miles. Turn right heading east on for 1.4 miles. Turn right heading south on Ragged Mountain Road for 2.9 miles.
