| TITLE: The Canyons Ski Area |
 |
NOTES: East of Salt Lake City near Park City, the Canyons ski area has 3,500 boardable acres spread over 8 peaks with a max vertical drop of 3200. The summit is at 10,000 . There are plenty of steeps and glades, along with a natural pipe called Canus Lupis (off the Condor Express Lift). There are actually 7 natural half-pipes worth checking out. If you are looking for steep chutes, try Murdock Bowl.
For some challenge, head to the top of Ninety Nine 90 and hike to skiers right. Dive into a big bowl with glades. Actually, off Ninety Nine 90, there are some of the fiercest lift-serviced backcountry routes in Utah.
With alot of day-ridders coming up from Salt Lake City, dont expect a rowdy time after a day of shredding freshies. The best apres is Smokies Smokehouse or Harry Os. For some nightlife, check out O Shucks.
For apres ski, try OShucks or Harry Os. For local nightlife, check out Mother Urbans or Ciseros. Or for nightlife in Salt Lake City, try Bricks Club, Twilight Café, or Ya Buts.
